Weijie Wu received his First-Class Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield in 2019, with a University Prize awarding the best academic performance in the department. In October 2019, he joined the Connected Photonic and Electronic Systems CDT in University College London and received a master degree in 2020. Right after that, he started his PhD study in Photonic Devices and Sensors Group at the University of Cambridge. His research topic is 'Next Generation Optically Addressed Spatial Light Modulators for 3D Holographic Display'. He is a member of Sidney Sussex College.
